The majority
of our office hours are conducted on an appointment basis to avoid unnecessary
waiting. Our door is always open, and
walk-ins will be seen on the same day in the case of an acute illness. We do ask that walk-ins call first to ensure
that your doctor is not busy with an emergency.
Emergencies and appointments will be seen before walk-ins. If you are unable to keep an appointment,
please notify our office 24 hours in advance.
The concept
of Family Medicine includes total care for the entire family. Should we determine that a specialist is
needed or if a specialist is requested by a patient, we will assist you with
this arrangement.
Your medical
records stay in our office and are not released to anyone or any agency unless
you specify in writing this may be done.
This policy includes transferring your records to other physicians.
If we are to
be responsible for your family’s medical care, we must be aware of all your
medical problems.
You have the
right to choose your physician. If at
any time you are dissatisfied with our performance, please notify us
immediately.
Our doctor’s
personal cell phone numbers are available for urgent matters. An example of an urgent matter is a drug
reaction from a medication prescribed by our practice. If you
have an emergency such as chest pain, severe abdominal pain, laceration, or
possible bone fracture, please go directly to your nearest emergency room or
call 911. Please call our office the
following business day to inform us of your medical progress and for your
insurance purposes. Please do not use your doctor’s personal cell phone number for
refilling prescriptions, discussing chronic problems, or scheduling
appointments.
